Together with HCH Aviation's partner, Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA), we offer a collegiate flight program to rival the nation's best.

In four years, students can achieve their college degrees along with all the ratings to qualify for a career as a professional aviator, opening doors only available to collegiate aviation program graduates.

To get started, Apply to the Professional Pilot track within SFA's Aviation Sciences undergraduate program.

Once enrolled, students begin flight training from day one. This program is for students seeking a unique college experience which opens the door to an aviation career where the sky isn't the limit - it's the beginning

Professional Flight Training

AT HCH Aviation, we offer both FAA Part 141 and Part 61 flight training programs using our modern fleet of Tecnam aircraft.

Whether you're aiming to go from zero experience to commercial pilot in just one year, earn your private pilot's license, or add to your existing certifications, we have the resources to enable you to achieve your goals.

Our FAA-approved Part 141 training features a structured, step-by-step syllabus designed for efficient and effective progress. Prefer a more flexible approach? Our experienced flight instructors can tailor a Part 61 program to fit your specific needs and schedule.

Through our exclusive partnership with Stephen F. Austin State University, we provide collegiate-level aviation instruction as part of the university’s professional pilot initiative, combining academic excellence with real-world flight experience.

Students will train in state-of-the-art aircraft. As a "technically advanced aircraft" (TAA), the Tecnam P-Mentor and Tecnam Sierra MKII fleet have all glass cockpit technology and modern safety features to keep our students safe during their training. We use two Tecnam P2006T with G1000s twin-engine aircraft for the multi-engine platform.

Our training programs also feature state-of-the-art full motion and fixed simulators. Housed on the beautiful Stephen F. Austin State University campus, home of the "Flying Jacks", and at the A.L. Mangham Jr. Regional Airport. Srudents will have open access to train anytime they choose. Students can sharpen thier skills or prepare for their next flight. All simulators are approved FAA training devices, so their time can be logged.
